Transcription: The air that we breathe looks perfectly clean, but is it? In an attempt to reduce air pollution near the ground, tall chimneys were built. However, the result was that the pollution was simply carried elsewhere by the winds. And now many of the world's forests and lakes are being killed by acid rain caused by industrial pollutants from far away. In cities, heavy traffic belches out fumes which affect the health ofcity dwellers. In some cities a thick yellow layer of trapped fumes makes the air almost unbreathable.
